Burn your candle to a minimum of 4 hours on the first burn

When burning your candle for the first time, we advised you to burn the candle until a full melt pool has been created i.e the wax has melted till the edges of the jar. If this good melt pool is achieved the first time round then this will ensure a good scent throw and burn throughout the candle. For our Mini sized candle we recomend burning it for a minimum of 3 hours.

Trim your wick!

We recommend that you trim your candles wick to a height of 5mm before every burn. This will prevent the mushroom effect ( a carbon build up on your wick ) which normally is the cause of soot emissions. If the wick is too long then it can become a safety hazard as well as a larger flame will be giving out a higher temperature thus, your candle will burn down way faster than it should. DO NOT attempt to break of the mushroom with a tool or your hand as the wick can be damaged. We recommend using a wick trimmer or a scissors if you don't have one.

Store your candle in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight

This is to avoid the wax from discolouring and and to hold the scent.

Avoid burning the candle in spaces with a draft

Avoid burning the candle in spaces with a draft

Leave at least 10cm between burning candles

Burning candles close to each other can lead to flames flaring or the formation of drafts.

Do not burn your candles for more than 4-6 hours at a time

Allow the candle to cool after 4-6 hours of burning and then trim the wick before re-lighting the candle. This is to prevent the jar from overheating which can result in it cracking and as well as to prevent a large flame which can be caused by the high temperature of the wax.
